Akilah
Coach Akilah is an encouraging and dedicated cognitive coach with a passion for empowering autistic adults. She firmly believes that many of the challenges people face stem from a lack of belief in their own potential—and she loves helping her clients see just how capable they truly are. Whether it’s celebrating small victories or finding creative workarounds to obstacles, Akilah is committed to guiding her clients toward greater confidence and success.
Her expertise lies in executive functioning coaching, where she thrives on bringing order to the “chaos” of goal-setting. She enjoys making lists, keeping clients accountable, and offering grace when plans need to be adjusted. Advocacy is another key strength—she is deeply committed to helping autistic adults find their voice in a world that often misunderstands or overlooks them. Akilan’s coaching philosophy is rooted in honesty and tact, helping her clients express themselves with clarity and confidence.
Before becoming a cognitive coach, Akilah worked in advocacy roles supporting individuals diagnosed with cancer. That experience gave her a deep appreciation for what it means to truly stand by someone through their most challenging moments. When she discovered the world of cognitive coaching, she was immediately drawn to the opportunity to support autistic adults—one of the best career decisions she’s ever made.
One of Akilah’s proudest coaching moments came when she helped a client move from being unable to leave their porch to confidently earning their master’s degree through a hybrid program that required regular travel. Seeing her clients grow and achieve their goals is what fuels her passion for coaching.
Outside of coaching, Akilan enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and walking outdoors—rain or shine.
